Whew, another week gone ! It’s been an interesting one to say the least

Back on Tuesday I wrote about this about a young woman having an affair, her husband signs up for internet and cable and somehow her cell gets included in the bundle deal . Her husband discovers that she’s having long calls with a certain number and so he decides to call it and learns that she has had an affair of course he then leaves her and their children and she goes on to lose her job well the woman in question has started her own blog which makes for an interesting read. She makes some valid points in her posting but what leapt out at me was the title of her entry “How Rogers Ruined My Life” To be correct the outcome of what Rogers did was the effect, her own actions where the cause if anyone ruined her life it was she herself.

This blog has an interesting read for those interested in the U.S Senate race in Connecticut the posting appears to be a open letter to the people of Connecticut from the father of Chris Benoit (Former WWE superstar) Who murdered his family before taking his own life a few years ago. In the posting Michael Benoit suggest that the only reason Linda is running is so that she can try to stop the Federal Government from regulated so if you’re at all interested in that race it’s well worth the read

If you want to check out the live cam of the oil spill in the Gulf you can find it here the servers have been a little bogged down since the cam went live yesterday but still has some very good info on the spill.. What a disgusting mess that has been and BP has done nothing to earn the trust of the people by the way they have blown their response to this disaster..

From the whatever happened to pile there is Lindsay Lohan news today (I can hear you all cheer that !)

The good folks over at the Huffinton Post are reporting that Lindsay is trying to find a plane, any plane to rush home from the Cannes festival so that she can appear in LA for her progress report before a Judge. Lindsay is claiming her passport was stolen however she hasn’t let that stop her from getting out and enjoying the night life . So if any of you have a jet you could lend her please give her a call

Korean War Part II coming soon ? Just  what the world needs right, another war ? I doubt that it will actually come to that however both sides are sure keeping their rhetoric high now I guess the main problem facing the west is how do you punish a country for attacking one of our partners in the area ? Keeping in mind that the country we aim to punish has nukes, is a desperate country and is led (At least to some extent) By someone who may or may not be playing with a full deck .. Will be interesting to see how this plays out

Heading back over to the Huffington Post Rand Paul says it might not actually have been a good idea to go on the Rachel Maddow Show, I guess by his way of thinking it’s her fault that he opened his mouth and put his foot in it  ? Sad to say but in this the 21st century we only seem to be a little but further ahead then we once where because race is still a hot topic in politics and around the country

Are you taking part in Draw ‘Draw Muhammad Day ‘? What started out as a protest by the creators of South Park after Comedy Central edited their attempts to render Muhammad, I’m all for   but really are you going to protest because you couldn’t have something in your show that some may find offensive? I have no problem with pushing things and testing the limits but this has been done before and there have been violent protests as a result so I suggest that this isn’t a case of freedom of expression being taken away it’s instead a case of freedom of common sense being used.. Stop and ask yourself (If you are going to take part in this ‘protest”) Is what I’m doing hurtful to someone? Either their beliefs or on a personal level, will it bring betterment at all ? No the fact is it won’t and in some parts of the world may even cause religious anger to once again fuel the fires of anger and distrust and do we really need anymore of that?

Deja Vu

Ever had a sense of déjà vu ? Well I had one today upon checking my news feeds

Yesterday I wrote about how badly the war on terror would seem to be going if you sit back and look at things and factor in all the evidence .. Today brings news of yet another attack (Read CNN’s report) Thankfully it doesn’t seem that any NATO troops were killed in the latest attack however as many as a dozen militants are reported to have died in the attack. These  attacks over the last two days are somewhat concerning and should be to those in charge on the battle field. They show an enemy who isn’t retreating, who are making new inroads in the country and who are managing to plan and execute larger and more deadly attacks on our troops . As the spring turns to summer at what point do our men and women launch their much expected offensive to try to push the Taliban back ? From what I’m seeing reported we seem to be spending more and more time on the defensive and not on the offensive

Speaking of being on the defense I now turn to Blumenthal, where to start with this clown  ? Today the Washington Post is reporting that the same video that shows him “misspeaking” Also shows him correcting his words . I haven’t seen the video yet but still how do you misspeak talking about your military service? It’s not like he’s saying he went to the store when he didn’t here folks, does this sound like misspeaking to you?  Click the link and listen to what he says and I would suggest he didn’t misspeak at all.. He lied and he’s lied more than once it would seem Foothills Media has a story up here that says he once claimed to have been the captain of the Harvard swim team, problem is that the records show he was never on the team ! I’m not perfect but if a guy is lying about being the captain of a swim team when he wasn’t what else is he lying about? If he’s not lying then I call on him to release something, anything at all to support his claim

Grrr no wonder I’m jaded when it comes to politics, have a good day everyone and we’ll see you tomorrow!

Things that make you say WTF ??

Have you ever wondered why some people can’t take personal responsibility in their life ? Why is it that some people seem to have the ability to blame everything that goes bad in their life on everyone except themselves ? Take this story for example it seems a woman decided to have an affair which in itself is no big deal however her husband decides that he will sign up for Rogers internet and home phone, Rogers then bundles the services together and instead of sending a bill in the cheating wife’s name it’s sent in her husband’s name. You can imagine what happens next right ? Husband sees phone numbers called and puts two and two together however the female involved in this case has decided to blame the marriage breakup on Rogers and is suing for $600,000 ! Now I’m not a huge fan of Rogers and I admit they had some rather bad business practices but come on lady wake up Rogers (Any many other providers as well) bundle their services together and no they aren’t responsible if you’re having an affair and you get caught either the lady involved says she’s lost everything dear to her (I wonder whose fault that is?)  In a TV interview Gabriella says ““I had a brief affair — it was very short-lived, a few weeks,” Gabriella  told CTV News. “I did not need to lose everything. I am at a point that there’s no turning back. Everything that I held dear — especially my job — is gone.” Gabriella goes on to say  was so upset about her marriage falling apart that her work performance suffered, leading her to lose her job I guess she wasn’t so upset that it stopped her from getting involved with this other guy in the first place right ? Why is it that people feel that they can do something horrible (Often to other people) And it’s not their fault ? It’s a sad story made even more so because it involves children watching their father leave however it may never have happened at all if their mother had not broken her wedding vows, it’s not the Rogers responsibility to make sure that their customers infidelity goes unnoticed . Another day and more bad news from in the “War on Terror” I really don’t know where to start with this one it’s been such a long war and with each passing day looks less and less winnable now before I get angry replies about how we have to stop terrorists I’ll say I agree..But isn’t the goal of terrorist to bring terror? If you look at the definition of what is a terrorist what does it say? If you use Websters you’ll find the following “a person who terrorizes or frightens others” So then the question could be asked how can you beat that? One needs only to look at the panic in New York during the failed bombing a couple of weeks ago to see that even though this attempt failed to inflict physical damage it did once again terrorize or frighten others didn’t it? So the question I’m putting out is do you think the War on Terror is something that we can win? I’ll put it as my poll and fee free to comment or enter your vote and no I’m not putting the Military down (I have friends serving in the mission in Afghanistan) But I have real doubts about this vague war that I think will be about as successful as the war on drugs and look how well that turned out. There is a saying “One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter” And I think that is the mindset we are dealing with here.. Came upon this good entry on a very sad milestone for our American partners in this war

Giving “It’s complicated” A new meaning

If you use Facebook you no doubt have come upon the phrase “It’s complicated” Well from the thank God it didn’t happen to me category comes this story of a lady who gave birth to a set of twins only to discover they don’t share the same father.. The folks at the paternity center say that it’s a “One in a million” Happening I’ve heard of brothers from a different mother but fathers too ?

Are you a cell phone user ? If so you might find this article an interesting read do you remember all the hype over the years about how cell phones cause brain cancer ? Based on the findings of this study the answer is… We still don’t know quoting former University of Ottawa professor Elisabeth Cardis in the findings of the study “Possible effects of long-term use of mobile phones require further investigation” She goes on to say “Majority of subjects were not heavy users by today’s standards.” So the debate will go on until one day we get a conclusive answer, course by then we may have brain tumors and no one will care

Finally (At least for now) Are you like my house and have a stack of Robert Munsch books ? For years he has brought happy giggles from children as he tells stories of wonder, smelly socks and of course love, over the weekend Mr Munsch revealed that he has battled both alcohol and cocaine addition .. I for one support him coming out with his story of inner demons showing that it isn’t just the street level user that is effected by drug use it’s our brothers, sisters, friends and teachers because addition knows no social limit I wonder what would happen if your child’s teacher admitted today that he or she used cocaine ? Would it taint how you view him or her ? Will also be interesting to see if sales of his books drop at all or will people do as I think they will and show that it doesn’t matter that you made mistakes, it matters how you correct them that counts ? So my question of the day is the following. Do you think that by admitting to cocaine use Munsch will find his sales suffer ?

And So I too have a blog

HI all, I resisted the urge to start a blog for the longest time I thought they where over done and that everyone and his dog had one so why would anyone care if I bothered to put one up.. Finally I decided what the hell if people want to read what I’m thinking and feeling in my life be my guest and besides I might get some feed back that might help me work out somethings as we go along here if you ever want  to know the basics about my life feel free to click on the “About me” Section of the blog and you’ll get a good idea of who I am

As I sit and write this I have many things going on in my life, my job like I have said is pretty good and pretty well-paying but since I work late at night and my wife works days I never get to see her or the children really, at times I feel like I’m all alone in this journey It’s not as though our relationship is too new we have been together for five years and to be totally honest right off yes there have been times when I have been tempted to cheat, who hasn’t at one time or another right? I haven’t yet and I don’t want to but sometimes it’s so hard (Pardon the pun) She’s a good partner and a great mom I really don’t want for anything and yet here I am with these thoughts in my mind, am I horrible? I imagine yes I am at least a little right? The communication in our marriage has gotten a lot better than it used to be and still I feel like something is missing what I don’t know I guess that’s part of what made me get this blog up and going so that I could try to get some guidance and help in figuring things out from you the viewing public.. Please feel free to offer any advice or comments to anything I post
